These home owners were grappling with a major issue. The existing deck was attached directly to their house without any protective flashing, leading to rainwater and melting snow seeping into the building envelope and infiltrating their basement. The resulting water damage led to rot in the sheathing and supporting framing, compromising the structural integrity. They envisioned a new, improved deck that would function as a screened, covered three-season deck.
The owners entrusted Revision Built with the task of crafting a design solution. During our consultation, we proposed an appealing alternative. For an additional 25% of the three-season room’s cost, they could enjoy a heated 4-season room. This would extend their additional living space usability to the whole year. The homeowners immediately embraced this suggestion.
Work commenced in mid-October and was completed just in time for Christmas, allowing them to fully utilize and enjoy the space during the holiday season. Additionally, we also revamped the exterior with new interlocking and driveway as per their request, thus fulfilling their complete home improvement wishlist.
